Terms of Service

1. Agreement

• Parties: the user and Gig Grid ("we"), operator of giggrid.net.
• Acceptance: by creating an account or using the site.
• Personal data: governed by the Privacy Policy.

2. Eligibility

• Minimum age: 16.
• One account per person.

3. Accounts

• Password security and account activity: the user's responsibility.
• Impersonation of people or organisations: prohibited.
• Usernames resembling staff identities (admin, support and similar): blocked.

4. Open Beta

• Status: open beta; under active development; operated by one person.
• Features: may change or be removed.
• Availability: bugs, interruptions and downtime possible.
• Data: loss possible in rare cases; reasonable care taken to prevent it. Export available at any time: Account → Download my data.

5. User content

• Ownership: rigs and custom gear designs remain the user's.
• Private rigs: visible to the owner only.
• Public rigs: worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence granted to Gig Grid and its users to display the rig, and to other users to copy it into their own accounts and modify the copy ("remix").
• Licence duration: continues after the rig is made private or deleted, or the account is deleted — for copies already made, and for rigs public or published at account deletion (retained without the username, so remixes keep working).
• Prohibited: content the user has no right to share; illegal, abusive or harmful content.

6. Feedback

• Feedback and ideas: usable by Gig Grid without obligation to the sender.

7. Acceptable use

Prohibited:

• Bypassing authentication, rate limits or bot protection.
• Large-scale scraping of the catalogue, public rigs or user content.
• Harassment, threats or spam, including via the feedback form.
• Interference with the site; attempts to extract its source code.

8. Gear data and affiliate links

• Specifications, including dimensions: best-effort; may differ from real units. Verification against the manufacturer's specifications advised before buying a case.
• Affiliate links: some retailer links earn us a commission, at no extra cost to the buyer.
• Prices and availability: set by the retailer.

9. Reporting content

• Content breaching these terms or the law: report via the feedback form or hello@giggrid.net, with the link and the reason.
• Reported content: reviewed; may be removed.

10. Suspension and termination

• By the user: account deletion at any time, on the Account page.
• By us: suspension or closure of accounts breaching these terms or the law; reasons given where possible.

11. Disclaimers and liability

• Service provided "as is", without warranties beyond those required by law.
• To the extent permitted by law: no liability for indirect or consequential loss, or for lost profits or data; total liability capped at the greater of the amount paid by the user in the 12 months before the claim and USD 50.
• Rights and liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law, including under applicable consumer protection law: unaffected.

12. Changes

• Material changes: notified in the app before taking effect; acceptance required to continue use. Alternative: account deletion.
• Other changes: effective on posting.
